New wood flooring range Wood flooring has undergone a renaissance in recent years. The Fired Earth range has just been extended to include cherry, maple and walnut flooring as well as traditional oak, all of which has been sourced from sustainable forests in Europe and North America.

The trend for using natural materials in the home continues apace. As Scandinavians and Americans have known all along, wood is beautiful, practical and durable – and Fired Earth’s new wood flooring range offers the very best of these qualities.

The new Classic Oak flooring consists of three grades of European oak:

Select – unblemished boards which would suit a contemporary, clean space
Nature – boards with a more distinctive grained and woody appearance
Rustic – boards with natural knots and markings which would be perfectly in keeping with an older home or cottage

All three grades are available either pre-sealed with oil or brushed and unsealed (ready to apply one of Fired Earth’s six coloured oils), and as either solid board or engineered board. They’re also available in a choice of widths and lengths, and with a selection of trims, skirtings and thresholds to match. The Hardwood flooring selection of seasoned

North American solid hardwood offers several superb alternatives to oak, with three strikingly different pre-sealed, solid wood floors:

Maple – a smooth, light-toned board which would be a perfect choice for a modern environment

Cherry – a warm, rose-toned board

Walnut – a sophisticated and elegant, dark-toned board which would look spectacular in a more formal setting

All three woods are available in a choice of Select or Nature grades, and with accessories to match.
