Established in 1997, the the Romiley based air conditioning specialists are marking their 10th anniversary by changing their name from Y2K Air Conditioning, to the more fitting and reflective ‘My Climate’.

Andy Elly, Managing Director of My Climate said of the name change: “The new name better reflects the growing interest in climate and comfort control systems among the retail and small commercial markets in Stockport and throughout the Northwest.”

The emphasis of the company has also changed to meet consumer demand for more environmentally aware equipment and reduced energy consumption.

Mr Elly continued: “The new generation of climate control systems have never been more efficient – which is good news for consumer costs, and good news for the environment. It is becoming more commonplace to see climate control systems that manage the cool air in summer and the warm air in winter in both private homes and small businesses. Having one system makes sense and reduces costs.

“The new My Climate brand emphasises how the user is in control of every aspect of the systems we install. Each room can be individually set to reflect its use, whether it’s a bedroom, lounge or study, or a business space.”
