The significant rise in demand for home offices is as a direct result of the number of people opting to work from home, which has increased due to greater flexibility in working patterns and a desire not to submit to the daily commute in congestion. Neville Johnson’s research found that one third of people in the UK do not put enough thought into their office area, which can lead to a number of problems.

1. A staggering 55 per cent of people said their office area causes aches and pains.
