An end to broken wall tiles

DRILLING SOLUTION - PATENT APPLICATION GBGB0601484.9
With the price of modern large porcelain, ceramic and marble tiles exceeding £90 per square metre, it is essential to be able to drill holes for fittings, water pipes etc., without the risk of breaking the tile, or chipping the edge of the drilled hole. It was with this in mind that entrepreneur Richard Hazell applied for a patent to cover the method and apparatus for drilling plus trade marks and design rights to cover the idea of marketing a complete pack of diamond drills for £30 to £50 a pack.
ALL SIZES AVAILABLE
The all-in-one ‘Bathroom Fitters Kit’ solution consists of 2x6mm, 2x8mm, 1x16mm, 1x30mm and 1x40mm diameter drills, plus a guide plate – in fact everything needed to complete most commonly encountered drilling tasks involved with wall tiles, glass and other hard and brittle materials. There are over 30 different size kits to chose from – all in the above price bracket and all marketed under the brand name ‘Porsa’ drills.
NO MORE EXPENSIVE DRILLING RIGS
Existing methods of cutting porcelain tiles and other hard materials require an industrial drilling rig, costing hundreds of pounds. How, then, has Mr. Hazell produced such an inexpensive alternative? The simplest ideas are said to be the best and what he did was to find a way to replace the pilot drill that holds the crown in place, with a low cost plastic guide plate that holds the drill steady on any material. This removes the need for running water to cool the drill bit which keeps the site dry too, saving time and clean up, as well as saving money.
SIMPLE AND EASY TO USE
Arctic Products are promoting the new drill kits in vibrant pack colours with comprehensive, easy to follow instructions, a user-friendly look and they are simple and straight-forward to use. The inexpensive nature of the kit means that the user can increase profitability by easily including the cost in the customers invoice, even if the drills are used on more than one job.
