Interbuild ‘08 to showcase new kitchen and bathroom ideas A new Kitchens & Bathrooms Showcase will bring together suppliers and buyers in an inspirational and informative setting at Interbuild 2008. With Gordon Brown pledging to provide three million new homes by the year 2020 - and a target of over one million homes to be built in the next five years – near 20,000 visitors attended Interbuild 2007 to specifically source innovative, attractive, cost-effective and sustainable solutions for the home environment.

“Being a key player within the building industry, Interbuild is a must-attend event for Bovis. As a buyer, kitchens are particular area of interest for me, so I am encouraged to hear of the new Kitchen Showcase being launched at the 2008 event,” says Michael Bancroft, Buyer for Bovis.

“It will be interesting to see this tackled from a cost and regulatory perspective, rather than aesthetics alone, which is often a focus taken at interiors inspired events.”

The Showcase promises to deliver real ‘Wow’ factor with roomsets created with the option for exhibitors to engage with their trade audience by showing schemes mid-installation, as well as the finished product. The display will also appeal to the full spectrum of budget scales, from entry level through to the highly aspirational. Live installations are anticipated to pull in the crowds, as well as guest speakers addressing sustainable design for kitchens and bathrooms from both a new build and refurbishment perspective.

“The new Kitchens and bathrooms feature will add an extra dimension to Interbuild,” says Interbuild Event Director, James Gower. “My drive is to deliver not only visually striking content but material that is meaningful and relevant to the wants and needs of exhibitors and visitors. In tandem with the other new initiatives being launched at this year’s show, I believe that Interbuild is being injected with a new lease of life and I am pleased to play a part in its evolution.”

Adding to Interbuild’s internal services offering, the set will sit alongside the just-announced Heating and Plumbing Pavilion supported by leading trade body The Association of Heating and Plumbing Contractors (AHPC).
