Konnie Huq says ‘get creative with your photos’ Konnie Huq - the queen of crafts - may have left her Blue Peter days behind her, but she’s still putting her skill and creativity to good use with her latest project – the Kodak Creative Lab. Konnie is urging the British public to dig out photographs from the shoebox under the bed, pull out jpegs hidden away in folders on computers and turn them into something creative that friends and family will want to keep and share.

Konnie explains, “When it comes to being creative with your pictures, the sky’s the limit! You’re only bound by your imagination.”

The Kodak Creative Lab provides ideas and inspiration to do more with your favourite photos, from gift ideas to tips on how to take perfect pictures and share them in exciting new ways. Log on to kodak.com/go/creativelab to find ideas for all occasions including celebrating a birth, through childhood and birthdays to retirement and sharing experiences such as a gap year, weddings and Christmas.

Birthdays:
Birthdays and anniversaries present an ideal opportunity to be adventurous with your photographs. Rather than send a text or email inviting people to your party or event why not select an image or selection of images and add the invitation template on Kodak Gallery (kodakgallery.co.uk)?

Konnie’s hot tip: “Be extra creative and combine pictures with cake – for a football fan, bake or buy a cake in the form of a soccer field. Then draw and cut out body shapes for the players and stick on photographs of friends’ faces.”

Holidays / Gap Year:
After the trip of a lifetime you’ll want to re-capture the energy on your return so print out your photos at home using a lab quality printer such as Kodak’s ESP3 Printer.

Konnie’s hot tip: “Combine the pictures into a scrapbook with ticket stubs, receipts, postcards and any other memorabilia. You can create a totally unique ‘travel guide’ of your own.”

Childhood:
Childhood is when your imagination is at its best – it can be a real eye opener to see the world through youngsters’ eyes! Encourage children to spend time outdoors and to take pictures of their friends as well as places and objects that interest them.

Konnie’s hot tip: “On rainy days, use the Kodak Gallery to create games such as jigsaw puzzles with fun photographs of pictures taken by the children.”

Konnie Huq is launching the Kodak Creative Lab – an innovative guide offering inspiration and ideas to help you ‘make something’ with your photographs.
