Web site helps drivers compare leasing providers

1st July 2008 Print
An innovative new price comparison website has been launched specifically to help drivers buy cars and vans more efficiently.

comparecontracthire.com is the brainchild of Robert Wastell who identified the lack of buying power and access to competitive leasing providers when it came to sourcing and acquiring new vehicles.

At the heart of the website is a live quote engine which provides a range of monthly prices on over 5,000 cars and vans, from some of the UK’s leading contract hire providers. Wastell believes the proposition with its live quoting engine is unique in the marketplace.

Personal Contract Hire is an efficient way to source a vehicle as prices are fixed for the contract duration helping with budgeting annual running costs.

Companies such as Arval, Hitachi Capital, Masterlease, Fiat Auto Contracts and Alfa Romeo Contract Hire ensure visitors receive a good source of competitive quotes and a quality service across the UK. Wastell is also talking to other major suppliers about joining the site.

The launch has come at a time for drivers as they come under pressure from a weakening economy and rising vehicle running costs.

All suppliers provide their pricing through comparecontracthire.com on two, three or four year contracts inclusive or exclusive of vehicle maintenance covering 10,000 and 20,000 miles per annum.

Website visitors simply enter their vehicle into the quote engine and the length and mileage of their preferred contract and within seconds they are given quotes from the panel of contract hire suppliers. There is also no need to register personal details before quotes can be generated.

Quotes can be generated based on their preferred monthly budget or by a vehicle’s CO2 emissions and Special Offers are being promoted by each supplier. The monthly budget search is particularly helpful if you are clear which make and model to choose.

Once a vehicle and price has been decided upon, a contact form can be completed and is sent through to the relevant supplier who will then handle the order.

“Often when drivers need a new vehicle they haven’t got the time or the opportunity to get the best deal from a quality supplier,” said Wastell.

“They often receive poor advice and end up with a vehicle costing them more than they can afford. Contract hire is an easy and simple product for drivers from a budgeting perspective and can provide a vehicle for a fixed all inclusive monthly rate,” he added.
