Romantics across Britain are using personalised numbers to show their affection for each other, making the run up to Valentines Day a popular time for ‘partner plates’ according to DVLA Personalised Registrations.

The Government agency, which saw its 2 millionth personalised registration sale achieved in 2005, has seen a fourfold rise in the number of customers buying a special registration as a gift in the last five years.
