Motorpoint officially unveiled as Gwent Dragons sponsors!

Motorpoint has been officially unveiled as the new frontline shirt sponsor of the Newport Gwent Dragons – one of Wales top rugby teams.

The six-figure agreement will see the UK’s leading car supermarket group logo prominently featured on the front of home and away shirts for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons together with all replica tops.

Motorpoint has also taken an option for the following 2010-11 season, which will coincide with the opening of the redeveloped 15,000-seater Rodney Parade ground in the centre of Newport.

The unveiling was timed to coincide with the arrival at the club of three overseas players – ex-All Black and Waikato/Chiefs hooker Tom Willis, fly-half James Arlidge and number 8 Grant Webb – together with rugby sportswear manufacturer, Canterbury, who will supply the shirts for the next four seasons.

Motorpoint has been established in Newport since 2005. Based on the Queensway Meadow Industrial Estate, it sells over 5,000 cars a year to people across South Wales and the South West of England.
