A diamond for your loved one this Valentine’s Day?
In the run up to the most romantic day of the year, a DIAmond Advanced Motoring Assessment could be the perfect present for your partner, given recent research that suggests one in five women drivers are unhappy with their partners driving performance and one in ten men feel the same.Research by PistonHeads.com also found that a quarter of male drivers would only trust their partner to navigate on simple and easily recognisable routes.
But most interestingly two thirds of drivers backed the suggestion of making advanced driver training compulsory with re-tests every ten years.
DIAmond Advanced Motorists is urging people to further their driving skills and take the Pass Plus and Advanced Motorist Assessment.
The course is designed to further driving skills and attitude and to help motorists boost their confidence on the road.
The assessment allows a maximum of six minor faults in an hour’s driving over a wide variety of road types and conditions.
DIAmond Advanced Motorists General Manager Eddie Barnaville said: "There are so many arguments caused between couples when driving.
"Some don’t agree with the speeds their partner drives at, others think their partner is too hesitant.
"What better gift for Valentine’s Day than an advanced motorist course, a chance to stop those in-car arguments and make your partner a safer driver."
Pass Plus and the DIAmond Advanced Motorists Assessment cover modules in town driving, all-weather driving, hazard perception, night driving, driving on dual carriageways and driving safely on motorways.
They are designed to give drivers a guiding hand through situations that may not have been covered in the car before the basic driving test.
