More powerful Varta car batteries launched at no extra cost
If more reliable cold starting power and longer lifespan from your car battery at no extra cost sounds too good to be true, check out the latest offering from Johnson Controls, makers of the VARTA-branded range of Silver, Blue and Black Dynamic batteries.The manufacturer has incorporated a new grid technology it calls PowerFrame into its trio range of car batteries. This new technology makes the battery far less susceptible to corrosion, and significantly improves the energy throughput, thereby extending the service life and performance of one of the most important components in your car.
“This patented technology is already being supplied by us to all the major vehicle manufacturers,” explains Johnson Controls Product Manager Tony Miller. “We aim to continually improve all our products, so motorists looking for the best replacement battery can now benefit from PowerFrame technology at no extra cost.”
An advanced, high precision manufacturing process for the battery’s positive grid ensures a consistent and stable positive grid quality at all times, minimising corrosion, grid expansion and short circuiting. Without a frame on all four sides, traditional ‘expanded’ technology battery grids have an irregular, weaker structure.
Consistently higher starting power in PowerFrame batteries through maximum current flow is achieved by placing more lead where electrical current is greatest, enabling faster recharge acceptance and optimal conductivity.
High precision grid punching now used by Johnson Controls in the manufacture of all VARTA-branded car batteries also brings environmental benefits due to a cleaner and more efficient production process.
Supplies of Silver, Blue and Black Dynamic batteries incorporating the new PowerFrame grid technology are now available through a network of more than 500 VARTA specialists in the UK.
Silver Dynamic is designed for luxury high end models, Blue Dynamic for current mainstream cars and Black Dynamic for cars over seven years old.
