Mondial Assistance improves accuracy of ETA through Tom Tom

24th September 2008 Print
On the increasingly congested UK roads, it is becoming more important than ever to provide customers, when they are in need of roadside assistance, with Roadside Assistance Technician Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) information that is as accurate as possible.

Mondial Assistance has invested in a software application from Tom Tom to do just that. Following a successful trial earlier this year the software has now been installed on all Mondial’s manufacturer branded Technicians communication devices.

Robert James, Technical Services Director at Mondial Assistance, said “Tom Tom technology ensures that we give the customer the best service possible, by getting a Technician to the job quickly and providing the customer with an accurate ETA.”

As they arise, jobs are automatically sent to the most appropriate technician available. Technicians are able to set their status depending on their current situation – ‘on scene’ or ‘obtaining parts’ for example – allowing jobs to be passed automatically to the next available Technician and eliminating potential delays.

James added, “Our main priority when a customer requires roadside assistance is to ensure we deliver the right resource and get the problem resolved as swiftly and efficiently as possible. The use of this additional technology will greatly improve the effectiveness of our Technicians and therefore the satisfaction of our customers.”
