Goodyear Dunlop is celebrating after signing a substantial fleet deal with TransLinc, the UK's leading provider of specialist fleet management and passenger services to local authorities, schools, health authorities and public sector clients.

The deal includes all tyre orders for TransLinc’s 3000 strong fleet of vans and trucks being looked after by Goodyear Dunlop’s service network TruckForce. The extensive product portfolio on offer from Goodyear Dunlop provided the perfect fit for TransLinc and its varied customer base.

Supplying a variety of vehicles, from car derived vans to large refuse trucks, the majority on a contract hire with maintenance basis, TransLinc required a bespoke, cost effective tyre package for its customers.

The contract includes the latest Goodyear Max Technology tyres that reduce the cost per mile through improving fuel consumption and mileage, with the help of low rolling resistance and innovative design. The company is also able to rminimise costs for TransLinc by reducing tyre fitting downtime through its TruckForce service network, operating across 80 centres in the UK and over 1500 sites in Europe.

TransLinc also has access to ActionLine, TruckForce’s 24 hour dedicated call centre, breakdown service and fitting can be arranged quickly and simply, essential for keeping business on the move.

Mark Werrell, National Sales Manager for TransLinc added: “The products on offer from Goodyear Dunlop enable TransLinc to provide an enhanced tyre service to all customers. In the current economic climate, repair cost and vehicle downtime are highly important, and offering services such as TruckForce and FleetOnlineSolutions is an attractive package.”

“With the high-technology tyres, TransLinc can keep track of the performance and condition with ease,” said Phil Stanton, Commercial Sales Manager for Goodyear Dunlop.

“Our FleetOnlineSolutions application (FOS) will enable them to monitor online the whole lifecycle of a tyre from fitting to disposal and recycling. The in-depth monitoring system can also highlight how each driver contributes to tyre wear and performance, as part of the TruckForce service.”
