Kwik-Fit has revealed the seven blunders of the MOT world. Indeed, motorists will be shocked to learn that more than half of MOT failures concern just seven common parts.

The company’s research showed that the seven most common MOT ‘fails’ account for 55% of all failures. And, while motorists have been coming to Kwik-Fit for repairs, their brakes, tyres and exhausts for over 30 years, many might be amazed to learn that nowadays they can fix all seven. Significantly, many of the top seven failure codes are also safety related and are particularly relevant as we head towards winter. Even a misaligned headlamp bulb can cause danger if it temporarily blinds oncoming drivers.
