Artists impression of Saxon Gate Leading developer, Banner Homes’ superb new development, Saxon Gate, has just opened its doors to the public.

It is situated off Clayhill Road in the village of Burghfield, near Reading. The recent launch attracted a multitude of interested visitors to the new marketing suite on-site. The fourteen spacious detached and semi-detached family homes which make up the development are now being sold off-plan prior to the opening of the four-bedroom showhome at the beginning of June.

Nicki Dennis, Sales and Marketing Director of Banner’s Wessex Region comments, “We received a great deal of positive feed-back at the launch. People just adore the beautiful, peaceful location combined with the fact that the major town of Reading is easily accessible. It means they can expect to enjoy the best of both worlds.”

Nicki continues, “Judging by footfall and reactions over the launch weekend, there is every sign of sales being brisk. Once the showhome opens, we expect the pace to step up even further. Now is a great time for those wishing to reserve their favourite plot off-plan prior to the usual summer rush on quality properties such as these.”

All the houses at Burghfield Place will benefit from an excellent specification that befits their desirable setting. The accommodation is versatile and well planned. It offers different zones in which each member of their household can live their lives, suiting growing families and those in need of space for visiting family and friends. The ground floor boasts a professionally designed contemporary kitchen with a range of integrated stainless steel finish appliances, including a double oven, gas hob and chimney-style extractor hood. Leading off the kitchen, a handy utility room creates more space for doing the domestic chores and storing household items out of the way.

Family life is well catered for by a comprehensive range of both state schools and top private schools in the Burghfield area, from primary to university level. These include St Mary’s Primary School in Burghfield village and Garland Junior School in Burghfield Common.

There’s plenty to see and do around Burghfield. The village itself offers a medical practice, veterinary surgery, chemist, convenience store and, of course, a local village pub. Nearby Reading offers a wealth of eateries and watering holes to suit all tastes. It’s also a veritable wonderland for keen shoppers with the vast Oracle shopping centre, which is renowned for being one of the largest shopping centres in the country, taking centre stage. The centre plays host to an enormous range of shops from the usual high-street names to a delightful selection of quaint boutiques, so even the most enthusiastic shoppers can ‘shop-til-they drop’.

Burghfield Place also enjoys convenient transport links. Reading is only six miles away, and the M4 offers links to the A4, A14, A33 and A340. A frequent train service runs between Reading and London.

Prices at Burghfield Place range from £360,000 to £465,000. For further information, visit bannerhomes.co.uk.
