Saffron Villas relocates to Newbury

16th May 2007 Print
International property specialist the Saffron Villas Group moves to new offices in the centre of Newbury this month, marking a further stage in the development of the business established in nearby Woolton Hill five years ago.

Rapid expansion prompted a move to offices at Highclere 16 months ago. Further growth has led to the need for more space and the group will more than triple the size of its offices when it opens for business in West Street House in Newbury’s West Street on Monday, May 21.

The Saffron Villas Group comprises two firms - Saffron Villas Ltd, the UK’s leading Morocco property specialist, and its sister company Quest 2 Invest, established earlier this year to market overseas property investment opportunities in new and emerging markets around the world.

Saffron Villas Ltd recently strengthened its teams in the UK and Morocco with three new senior appointments.

Nimesh Patel (42) has been appointed commercial director with overall responsibility for Saffron Villas’ sales teams and a growing agency network. He has joined the firm from First Homes where he was sales manager. Previously he gained experience with development and investment companies in the Middle East and Spain.

Nicola Judd, who joined the Saffron Villas’ sales team last year has been promoted to sales manager. Previously she spent four years selling country homes in South West England.

Richard Dear (38) has been appointed to manage Saffron Villas’ Morocco-based sales team in Tangier and develop new business opportunities for the company. Previously he was a self-employed property consultant working with more than 60 developers in Spain on behalf of agents La Perla Estates and Murcia Villas.

Saffron Villas’ non-executive director Gerry Jones, who established the business with her husband Paul Staines in 2002, set up Quest 2 Invest (Q2i) in March this year to capitalise on the extensive range of contacts and expertise she has developed in the property investment sector in recent years.

In response to demand from a substantial and growing portfolio of investor clients, Q2i is scouring the world for - and bringing to the market - opportunities to buy new properties off-plan at attractive pre-launch prices.

Currently they are in major new developments in Morocco, Brazil and Egypt. Following soon will be others in Jordan, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Argentina, Uruguay and Costa Rica. Later this year the firm will announce new investment opportunities in east European cities which include Prague, Warsaw, Berlin and Budapest.

Address details for the new office from May 21, 2007, are:
West Street House, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 1BD.
