A neighbourly new development for families

24th May 2007 Print
Carl and Allison Neighbourly relations are at an all time low with 55% of Brits not even knowing their neighbour’s first name according to a study by Norwich Union Insurance. Fortunately at the Locksley Gardens development on Watmore Lane in Winnersh, Berkshire, the community spirit is very much alive, as one family found out.

Allison O’Hare along with her partner Carl Davis and their two children Scarlett, 8 and Maisie, 2, moved into a three bedroom home at the scheme at the end of last year and were delighted with their decision.

Allison explains: “We found Locksley Gardens almost by accident. We had been looking to move from our home of seven years near Windsor but hadn’t settled on the location. It wasn’t until Carl drove past the scheme on his way to work that we decided that Winnersh was the perfect location. With Carl working in the area and the convenient commuter links, not to mention the schools within walking distance, everything just fell into place.”

Allison continues: “The quality of the location, coupled with the high finish of the Show Home just sold Locksley Gardens to us and we bought off-plan. I love the cul-de-sac layout of the scheme, it feels very community orientated and friendly. It also feels safer with it being a no through road, which is very important to me with two young children.”

Locklsey Gardens has now sold out, but Linden Homes still has developments in Windsor in Berkshire, as well as Farnham Common, Farnham Royal and Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire.
