Slough appeal creates diverse community

Slough appeal creates diverse community Aside from London, Slough is one of the most diverse towns in England, with a population which includes a variety of ethnic backgrounds, age groups and professionalisms. This diversity can be seen at Mosaic, a new development in the centre of Slough, which according to Knight Frank, has attracted a broad range of buyers.

Paul Hogarth, Partner and head of new homes sales and marketing for Knight Frank South East, says: “It’s an exciting time for Slough which is being transformed into an appealing place to shop, work and live. We are seeing a wide variety of buyers from different parts of the country and different backgrounds, and there is a real mix of first time buyers, city workers, downsizers and investors. The ‘Heart of Slough’ regeneration is attracting buyers who once might not have considered the town. The transport links are ideal for city commuters and projects such as ‘Art in the Centre’ are drawing arty types - one of our buyers is a part time art dealer. It’s fantastic that we are creating a new community of interesting and diverse people at Mosaic.”

Mosaic is located in the centre of Slough and comprises 166 one and two bedroom apartments by award winning developer, Durkan New Homes Ltd. The contemporary development includes passenger lifts, parking and interior designed communal areas with modern fittings. Security includes smoke detectors, security locks to entrance door and windows and video door entry phone system.

Inside, the apartments at Mosaic have been designed with meticulous attention to detail. Open plan layouts include a modern kitchen with an integrated Electrolux fridge / freezer or fridge with freezer compartment, and spacious living / dining areas. There is chrome ironmongery and Walnut Veneer flooring throughout with underfloor heating for comfort. Apartments have either one or two bathrooms (en suite with selected properties) all with Roca white bathroom sanitary ware and ceramic part tiled walls and floors. Master bedrooms include a fitted wardrobe. Many apartments include balconies or private patio gardens / terraces and there are also landscaped communal gardens with outdoor seating.

The mainline train station is approximately a 10 minute walk from Mosaic with regular trains to London Paddington, and there is also easy access to the M4 which runs from London to the west. Heathrow Airport is less than 20 minutes from the town centre and Gatwick, City, Luton and Birmingham airports are all within an hour’s drive from Slough.

Mosaic Apartments are for sale through Knight Frank, priced from £159,995 for a one bedroom apartment and from £219,995 for a two bedroom apartment.
