Barratt Homes launches The Crescent

Barratt Homes launches The Crescent Barratt Thames Valley has launched The Crescent at its popular Shinfield Park scheme in Reading; the final stage of the development and offering a striking range of two bedroom apartments, three bedroom townhouses and a two bedroom coach house.

Michael O’Leary, managing director of Barratt Thames Valley, says: “The Crescent is the jewel in the crown at Shinfield Park, with the properties overlooking a green, part of the original parkland grounds, and a Grade II listed mansion house. This is also the first opportunity buyers have had in more than 12 months to purchase an apartment at the development and we expect most to be snapped up off-plan.”

All of the homes in The Crescent will be ready to move into in June next year, but if you can’t wait until then, there is a collection of three and four bedroom townhouses and the last few detached houses available now.

Barratt is offering its excellent part exchange deal on all properties, and will handle the HIPs requirement on your old property for you. Buyers can also take advantage of Barratt’s ‘Six of the Best’ special offer where the housebuilder will pay the deposit and £1000 towards legal fees and all carpets, curtains, light fittings and a fridge/freezer will be included in the price.

Shinfield Park - which won a Gold in the Hot Property awards earlier this year - is set in 38 acres of parkland in Shinfield. The scheme is ideally placed for those who want to be close to Reading town centre, three miles away, but who want to live in a rural location. Great facilities, such as the Madejski stadium, The Oracle shopping centre, supermarkets within a couple of miles and a wide range of schools and colleges, including the private Crosfields School near Barratt’s development, make Shinfield Park a great choice for families.

Reading’s central location plays a major role in the town’s popularity, being within half an hour’s drive of London, Maidenhead, Oxford and Slough. Bath and Swindon to the west, and Basingstoke and Southampton to the south, are also within commuting distance.

Prices for the properties in The Crescent start from £239,950 for a two bedroom apartment. Prices for the townhouses and detached houses available to move into now start from £369,950 for a three bedroom townhouse and from £514,950 for a six bedroom detached home.

The sales and marketing suite, and three striking showhomes, is open seven days a week, from 11am to 6pm, visit Barratthomes.co.uk.
