Barratt launches dream start deal at Shinfield Park Barratt Thames Valley has launched its popular Dream Start deal for first time buyers at Shinfield Park, in Shinfield, Reading. The special incentive is available on two-bedroom apartments in The Crescent, a striking row of properties overlooking a green.

The Dream Start scheme allows first time buyers to move into a brand new apartment for only 75 per cent of the purchase price, while still owning a full 100 per cent of the property. There is no deposit to pay and Barratt will pay up to £1000 for the Stamp Duty and legal fees. No interest or rent is payable on the 25 per cent deferred, which is paid back as 25 per cent of the property’s open market value at any time up to the resale of the property or within ten years, whichever is sooner.

Michael O’Leary, managing director of Barratt Thames Valley, says: “We are delighted to offer our Dream Start deal at Shinfield Park; we have already sold one apartment in The Crescent under the scheme.”

The housebuilder has just released a computer-generated image of The Crescent, which comprises two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom townhouses and a two-bedroom coach house. A showhome in this striking row is due to open around April/May and all the homes will be ready to move in to in June.

For those who want to move in now, the last remaining three and four bedroom townhouses could be ideal. In addition to its part-exchange deal, Barratt is offering various incentives that can be tailored to suit individual buyer’s needs, to make the whole moving process easier.

Although Shinfield Park is located around four miles from Reading town centre its 38 acres of parkland makes it a wonderfully rural place to live. Excellent facilities, such as the Madejski Stadium, The Oracle shopping centre and an Asda supermarket are all within easy reach and the good choice of schools and colleges, including the private Crosfields School near the development, make Shinfield Park a great place for families to live.

Reading is within half an hour’s drive of London, Maidenhead, Oxford and Slough. Bath and Swindon to the west, and Basingstoke and Southampton to the south, are also within commuting distance.

Prices for properties in The Crescent start at £241,500 for a two-bedroom apartment. Prices for the last remaining townhouses start at £369,950 for one with three bedrooms.

The sales and marketing suite and three striking showhomes are open seven days a week, from 11am to 6pm, or visit Barratthomes.co.uk.
