Sustainable community concept proves a hit with buyers Barratt's prestigious development at Eton Green in Cippenham, Berkshire is proving a hit with homeowners; 15 of the 76 homes have sold since the sales launch just over two months ago.

One of the attractions is that Eton Green is much more than a housing development; it is an eco friendly sustainable community. Special features include the ‘greenway' network of footpaths and cycleways linking the homes to local schools, shops and employment areas, an improved bus service into Slough and extensive on-site recreation and sports facilities.

Subject to planning permission, a discreetly sited wind turbine is planned to provide renewable energy. The development also has all the attractions of the beautiful Thames Valley and the natural woodland of Burnham Beeches on the doorstep.

Eton Green comprises an impressive mix of private and affordable homes designed to appeal to homeowners from young professionals to families. They range from one-bedroom apartments to two, three, four and five-bedroom houses. This is just the first phase within a scheme which will eventually see 300 homes built in this superb location and buying early is highly recommended.

There are no less than 13 styles of home at Eton Green. For instance ‘The Chestnut'; a three-storey townhouse with a large open plan living area comprising dining room, sitting room, conservatory and a separate kitchen. The first floor has three bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, while the entire second floor is occupied by the master bedroom suite. The Willow and The Beech are two and three-bedroom, two-storey homes that cater for modern lifestyles with open plan living areas.

The Beech more unusually features an ensuite to both of its bedrooms; making it the ideal property for a young professional looking to make that first step on the property ladder, as it enables them to rent out the second bedroom more easily For families there are four schools to choose from in the immediate area: Cippenham Infant School, Cippenham Junior School, Western House Infant School and Westgate School. The renowned public school Eton, on whose land the development is based, is just to the south.

Cippenham town centre has a variety of local shops plus an ASDA supermarket and is located off Junction 7 of the M4, providing easy commuting to Maidenhead and Windsor. London is around 23 miles away, with Heathrow Airport approximately a 20-minute drive. Local attractions within easy reach include racecourses at both Ascot and Windsor, Windsor Castle and Legoland.

Prices start from £164,995 for a one-bedroom apartment and £274,995 for three-bedroom homes and £349,995 for four-bedroom homes. For further information, visit Barratthomes.co.uk.
