Mother and daughter are sold on Wokingham retirement home Living in a three bedroom semi, 82 year old Eileen Taylor was beginning to find the upkeep of a large house was getting too much for her and being unable to drive, getting to the shops was often difficult. With her daughter, Caroline, living 125 miles away it wasn't easy for her to be on hand to help with day to day life, so when they heard about David Wilson Retirement Homes - and its part exchange scheme Eileen found the perfect solution.

Caroline said: "We were looking for somewhere with a community atmosphere, in a good location where mum can have her own front door but still feel secure and David Wilson Retirement Homes ticks all the boxes. The part exchange deal was an added bonus because it means there is no chain and the sale is proving very straight forward so we're thrilled."

The specification at developments including Chestnut Grange in Wokingham provides buyers with security, independence and convenience with features ranging from the video entry door system to landscaped grounds and spacious rooms. Kitchens have integrated appliances and there is parking. There is also a residents' lounge and a guest suite - a great feature for buyers who want to retain the facility for guests to stay overnight.

Caroline said: "Being a brand new development, mum's new home is pristine in appearance, with all the mod cons. Another great benefit is that all the residents will be new so everyone is getting to know each other.''

David Wilson Retirement Homes operational sales manager Michelle Edwards, said: "Chestnut Grange offers the perfect retirement lifestyle, providing a combination of independent living with the added benefits of security and companionship. The part exchange scheme is just one of the ways that David Wilson Retirement Homes goes the extra mile to ensuring our buyers can move with as little fuss as possible.
