It's surprising what first-time buyers can afford at The Parks

22nd August 2008 Print
With English Partnerships now offering affordable mortgages for first-time buyers, The Parks is the place to leap onto the property ladder this summer. Through a Government-funded affordable programme that is exclusive to the Bracknell area, would-be home-owners can buy a brand new George Wimpey property at The Parks development as little as 50% of the purchase price - or from £145,000 for a stylish three-bedroom home.

Through the programme, Government agency English Partnerships contributes up to half of the purchase price through a loan that is interest-free for the first three years. A low-interest rate of up to 3% is then charged on the amount borrowed.

The initiative offers first-time buyers an alternative to standard shared equity schemes, allowing them to own 100% of their new home from day one.

Available from £150,000 under the affordable mortgage scheme, the ‘Kensington' is just one of the three and four-bedroom homes currently available at The Parks. This delightful townhouse features a spacious living/dining room with French doors to the rear garden, a contemporary kitchen and a guest cloakroom.

Upstairs, the landing leads to two double bedrooms - one with an attractive Juliet balcony - and a family bathroom.

A master bedroom with Juliet balcony, dressing room and en-suite bathroom sits proudly on the top floor.

Like all new properties at The Parks, the ‘Kensington' enjoys a high standard specification including gas central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood.

Three-bedroom homes start at £289,995 and four-bedroom homes from £314,995.

Bracknell is a modern and vibrant town, with a pedestrianised shopping centre and a choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. A £750m regeneration of the town centre is also underway, creating new leisure facilities, transport links and healthcare services. Homes are within easy reach of the centre and a choice of schools.

For commuters, the railway station is less than half a mile away, offering regular services to London Waterloo in 60 minutes and Reading in just 20 minutes. The M3 and M4 are a few minutes away by road.
