Home sweet home at Sovereign Fields

29th September 2008 Print
Since opening the marketing suite little over a year ago at its acclaimed Sovereign Fields development at Jennett's Park, Persimmon Homes Thames Valley has seen a wide variety of househunters and purchasers flock to the development - all looking to secure their dream home at Bracknell's most sought-after new homes scheme.

"Given the toughening mortgage market and difficult recent economic conditions, we are delighted by the level of sales at Sovereign Fields," comments Karen Howard, head of sales for Persimmon Homes Thames Valley.

"It is not surprising to see so much demand for new homes which offer the enviable combination of wonderful kerb appeal, the latest in design and technology, as well as value for money for all purchasers, from first time buyers and young couples to established families and those looking to downsize.

"Househunters are being drawn by the lifestyle our Sovereign Fields development provides as residents are able to enjoy cul-de-sac living as well as acres of parkland on their doorstep, together with a range of amenities which is being offered to the new community at the Jennett's Park development."

One such couple who are reaping the benefits of buying with Persimmon Homes is Paul and Alison Rutter. The Rutters not only live at Sovereign Fields, but also work there too, as they are landlords at one of the development's most popular haunts - the Peacock Farm Pub.

Paul states: "We fell in love with Sovereign Fields the moment we saw what Persimmon had to offer. There was so much choice as the developer has two, three and four bedroom homes available. We bought a three bedroom housetype which suits our needs perfectly and it's an added bonus that we're no longer living above the pub!"

Alison adds: "We couldn't fault Persimmon's sales advisers on site - they were extremely helpful from the outset and assisted us with the entire moving process. They also offered us a great range of incentives to help make the move as smooth and cost effective as possible."

Paul and Alison were able to use Persimmon's praised part exchange scheme to sell their existing property, which meant they had a guaranteed purchaser for their house and they didn't incur any pricey surveys or agents' fees.

"Part exchanging really is the simplest and swiftest means of moving home with us," added Karen. "All too often we hear stories of househunters who have lost out on their dream property because they couldn't sell their current home. Our part exchange scheme has been designed to ensure this never happens, allowing purchasers to leave their old property in our capable hands and focus on the excitement of owning a brand new home."

Paul continues: "We've only been in our brand new home since May this year and already we feel very much part of the community that is being built at Sovereign Fields and Jennett's Park as a whole.

"If you'd like to find out what it's like to live at Sovereign Fields, pop into the Peacock Farm and we can tell you all about it over a pint!"

Karen concludes: "Sovereign Fields is continuing to impress both househunters and industry bodies as we've already won a Hot Property Award for our range on offer, demonstrating that our homes are being built to an extremely high level of quality."

Prices at Sovereign Fields start from just £184,950 for a two bedroom apartment. Once complete, the development will offer a total of 68 new homes arranged in three peaceful cul-de-sacs. Persimmon is also offering its Helping Hand scheme on selected plots, where homeowners can purchase 100 per cent of their property for just 85 per cent of the price, making it an extremely stress free and financially viable option.

Part of the wider Jennett's Park development, Sovereign Fields is situated close to Tarman's Copse, one of two retained woodland areas incorporated within the development which, alongside the 91-acre adjacent country park, have been designed to encourage residents' to make the most of their leafy, semi-rural location.
