First homes released at ‘The Junction' in Central Slough

First homes released at ‘The Junction' in Central Slough Barratt Thames Valley has announced it will release for sale the first 20 homes at its smart new apartment development The Junction, which is superbly located in central Slough, adjacent to the mainline railway station, in mid October.

The scheme, built on a site previously occupied by offices, will offer 134 one and two-bedroom apartments when complete.

The homes have a very good specification and are designed in the open-plan arrangement that combines the living, dining and kitchen areas to make the most of light and space; some apartments will also have balconies.

Michael O'Leary, managing director at Barratt Thames Valley, says: "These apartments could not be more convenient, with the town centre within an easy walk and London just 20 minutes away by train. They will be ideal for people seeking the ease of a London lifestyle, without the high price tag. We think this development will be very popular and so decided to release the first 20 apartments earlier than planned. I would recommend buyers seize this special opportunity; they could be enjoying their new home by June 2009."

Slough's traffic-free centre is a short walk from The Junction and offers a wealth of branded and independent shops in the Observatory and Queensmere shopping centres, together with a range of trendy bars, pubs and restaurants. Leisure facilities include the nearby LA Fitness and Holmes Place gyms and the Montem Leisure Centre. For culture, fine restaurants and designer boutiques, Windsor is less than three miles away.

Designated as a regional transport hub, Slough has excellent communication links. From Slough station, next door to The Junction, trains take around 20 minutes to London Paddington, 15 minutes to Reading, half an hour to Heathrow and an hour to Oxford. Junction 6 of the M4 is around three miles away and leads onto the M25 and Heathrow Airport.

Prices are £157,500 for a one-bedroom apartment and £220,500 for a two-bedroom apartment.
