Jennett's Park homes get double seal of approval
George Wimpey site managers John O'Hare and Chris Greenwood have given homes at Jennett's Park, Bracknell their endorsement - by each reserving plots at the development.Site Manager John O'Hare has secured a two-bedroom ‘Calder' coach house for his 28-year-old twin sons, while Assistant Site Manager, Chris Greenwood has reserved the same design for himself and partner Chrissey, and her twin boys, Joseph and Jacob (9).
John says: "I really like the design of the property and so I said to my sons Chris and Dave to come over and take a look."
Chris and Dave are both carpenters, and have worked with their dad in the past. Dave currently shares a rented property with a friend in Wokingham, and Chris recently moved back to the family home, also in Wokingham.
John (59), who has worked for George Wimpey for 15 years and before coming to Jennett's Park managed developments in Wokingham and Langley, added: "This will be a bit of a bachelor pad for my sons, but it's a step on their way to each becoming a homeowner.
"I'm obviously very comfortable with the build quality of the homes, and have always been impressed by the help and support George Wimpey gives its customers.
"Jennetts Park is in a good area, and despite concerns about the housing market the property is well-priced and will be a long-term investment for the boys."
Assistant Site Manager Chris (25), who is moving to the development from Ripley, said: "I chose to buy now because prices have dropped over the past few months but the downturn in the market won't last forever. It will be an investment for the future.
"Because I'm a first-time buyer I paid a small reservation fee and George Wimpey helped with the deposit, stamp duty and legal fees, so I'm not having to part with a large lump sum to make the move possible.
"I've worked at Jennett's Park since December last year - and for George Wimpey for the past five years - and so there have been plenty of homes to choose from, but the ‘Calder' stands out as a spacious design, and it has an en-suite to the master bedroom in addition to a main bathroom, which makes it a lot easier with the children!
"Jennett's Park is going to be a good-sized neighbourhood with its own amenities, and since this phase of the development won't be completed until next year I'll be a lot closer to work."
The two-bedroom ‘Calder' coach house, which features an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room, an internal hall and an en-suite to the master bedroom on selected plots, is currently available priced from £214,995 - but popular with employees as well as house-hunters, people will have to hurry to reserve one before they all go!
Three bedroom homes are also available starting at £249,995, and four-bedroom designs from £384,995. All new homes at Jennett's Park enjoy a high standard specification including gas central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood.
Perfectly positioned between Wokingham and Bracknell, and served by new shops, a school, sports facilities, play areas, pubs and amenities, the new community is an ideal choice for people of all ages. Next to the development is a beautiful 90-acre country park offering opportunities for woodland walks and cycle rides.
Wokingham is just over two miles away, offering a unique range of independent and national traders, fresh local produce, traditional hardware stores, places to eat and drink, and a varied calendar of cultural events.
Bracknell town centre is a similar distance, with a wide choice of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, while a £750m regeneration at Bracknell is creating new leisure facilities, transport links and healthcare services. Homes are also within easy reach of the out-of-town Peel Centre, with more shops, a multi-screen cinema and bowling alleys.
Local sport and leisure pursuits are readily available to homebuyers, including fitness clubs, a leisure pool, a water park, an ice rink, an arts centre and a golf club. There is a ski and snowboard centre in nearby Binfield.
For commuters, Wokingham and Bracknell railway stations offer regular services to London Waterloo and Reading, while the M4 puts London just over 30 minutes away by road.
Househunters interested in making their move to the development can take advantage of incentives for first time buyers and George Wimpey's easymover programme, through which customers with a house to sell can reserve their new home and then sit back and relax while the housebuilder helps to find a buyer for their current property.
Incentives can be tailored to homebuyers' circumstances and are subject to availability. Further details are available from the Sales Executive.
Jennett's Park Sales Information Centre is located off Peacock Lane, Bracknell, and is open every day from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
