A cosy cottage with contemporary interior

A cosy cottage with contemporary interior David Wilson Retirement Homes is set to take the wraps off a new show home at The Mews at Chestnut Grange in Wokingham in November. "Show homes really seal the deal for many curious visitors - they help people to visualise life here and provide ideas on how to make the most of their new home," commented Michelle Edwards, operational sales manager at David Wilson Retirement Homes.

The new show home is a cosy cottage with a light and airy layout boasting a kitchen with breakfast area and lounge with open fire. Upstairs sees two double bedrooms, one with an en suite and separate bathroom.

"The cottage has a classic layout but we have dressed it in a contemporary way with bright and vibrant colours including turquoise and purple," said Michelle, "we can't wait to welcome visitors and show them around the development and this show home - it is the icing on the cake."

The Mews at Chestnut Grange is an exclusive retirement development, specifically for the over 55s. The properties are set amongst attractive landscaped surroundings and within a gated community.

There is an electric entrance gate for access to cars with entry phone system in each cottage, as well as a house manager to take care of building and maintenance and a 24 hour careline offering peace of mind for those residents who may not be as active. And with communal garden and residents lounge, there are plenty of opportunities for meeting neighbours and socialising.

Residents can maintain an independent lifestyle and come and go as they please. With the external maintenance of the development taken care of, retirees can effectively ‘lock up and leave' their property safe in the knowledge it will be in the same condition when they return - perfect for many who travel or live abroad for a number of months each year but who want to have a base in the UK.

"Those interested in living in this fantastic location, close to the centre of Wokingham and yet incredibly peaceful and quiet, in high quality and high specification properties are very welcome to drop into the marketing suite and come and have a look at the show home for themselves," added Michelle.

To make moving to a David Wilson Retirement Homes development as smooth and trouble-free as possible, options are available on selected plots including part exchange and Movemaker, where the developer instructs an estate agent to sell a purchaser's existing property.
