Lynn loves her brand new place at The Parks Lynn Barrett had never owned a brand new home before - but now she's loving her ‘fresh start' at The Parks, George Wimpey's development in Bracknell.
The IT analyst, who works locally, decided after 10 years in her 1970s terrace in Camberley she needed more space and a bigger garden, and so started the search for a new home.

"I had looked at a couple of places at the new development up at Jennett's Hill in Bracknell, where George Wimpey is also building homes, but I pass The Park every day on the way to work and so stopped in," explains Lynn.

"After looking around one of the showhomes my heart was set on a property with a similar layout, the three-bedroom ‘Clover' townhouse. I love the fact that everything's new and provides a fresh start."

Lynn took advantage of a package of incentives to suit her circumstances, including her Estate Agent Fees, Solicitor's fees, removals and stamp duty paid by the leading housebuilder.

"Moving was so easy," adds Lynn, "Even when I had a few last minute issues with the sale of my old house, staff at The Parks were helpful and ensured everything still went ahead smoothly. All in all moving with George Wimpey has been a very good experience and I would recommend it to anyone."

A wide range of three-bedroom properties are currently available at The Parks, starting at £289,995. Four-bedroom designs are priced from £299,995.

The three-bedroom ‘Kensington' townhouse, for example, is just one of the properties available now. Comprising a living/dining room with French doors to the rear garden, the ground floor also benefits from a well-proportioned kitchen and cloakroom.

Upstairs, the landing leads to two bedrooms - one with Juliet balcony - and a family bathroom. A master bedroom with spacious dressing room and en-suite bathroom sits proudly on the top floor.

Like all new properties at The Parks, the ‘Kensington' enjoys a high standard specification including gas central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood.

Bracknell is a modern and vibrant town, with a pedestrianised shopping centre and a choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. A £750m regeneration of the town centre is also underway, creating new leisure facilities, transport links and healthcare services. Homes are within easy reach of the centre and a choice of supermarkets.

Local schools have an excellent reputation, with pupils attaining results higher than the national average.

For commuters, the railway station is less than half a mile from the development, offering regular services to London Waterloo in 60 minutes, and Reading in just 20 minutes. The M3 and M4 are a few minutes away by road.

In addition to incentives for those with a home to sell, George Wimpey's First Time Buyer Initiative - in association with Government agency, English Partnerships - offers affordable homes at The Parks through a programme that is exclusive to the area.
