New home sales in Bracknell outstrip national second-hand figures
Brand new homes at George Wimpey's developments in Bracknell are bucking the national trend this year, selling at the exceptional rate of eight a month. Since the start of 2008 the leading housebuilder has sold 88 homes at The Parks and Jennett's Park, with customers choosing low-maintenance homes with no forward chain over properties on the second-hand market.Tim Betts, Sales and Marketing Director for George Wimpey West London, says: "While there has been a slowdown in the national property market, sales of our brand new homes in Bracknell have soared.
"From talking to our customers it's because our properties offer very good value for money including modern kitchens and bathrooms as standard, and don't need expensive improvements or redecoration before people move in.
"We also provide a wide range of money-saving incentives for customers, from paying the deposit for first-time buyers to helping existing home-owners find a buyer for their old property. Overall, we aim to make moving home simple and to wipe out additional costs - and this is what homebuyers want right now."
Jennett's Park comprises a wide range of properties, including three-bedroom homes from £239,995, and the sumptuous four-bedroom ‘Farlborough' - ready to move into in time for Christmas and priced just £359,995 with stamp duty paid by George Wimpey.
At The Parks, customers have a choice of four-bedroom detached homes starting at £359,995, while George Wimpey is offering the Government First-Time Buyer Initiative (FTBi) on selected three-bedroom properties, through which qualifying purchasers can benefit from a low-interest loan covering up to 50% of the price of their home.
Interest-free for the first three years and with the loan rate then capped at 3%, it means three-bedroom homes can be purchased with a mortgage of just £164,998 with no deposit needed.
The four-bedroom ‘Rowan' is just one of the homes available at The Parks, and features a lounge/dining room with French doors to the rear garden, a well-proportioned kitchen and a cloakroom off the entrance hallway.
Upstairs, the landing leads to a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, two further bedrooms and a main bathroom.
The top floor comprises a double bedroom with Juliet balcony and en-suite bathroom and a family room, also benefiting from a Juliet balcony.
Like all new properties at the development, the ‘Rowan' enjoys a high standard specification including gas central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood.
Jennett's Park is a new community between Wokingham and Bracknell, with homes served conveniently by their own shops, school, sports facilities, play areas, pubs and amenities. Next to the development is a beautiful 90-acre country park offering opportunities for woodland walks and cycle rides.
Information on homes at Jennett's Park is available by visiting the development off Peacock Lane, Bracknell, open seven days a week from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
