Young buyers flock to The Meadows

Young buyers flock to The Meadows Young buyers like Carlos Rodrigues (26) are snapping up apartments at The Meadows, Barratt’s stunning new development of homes at Siston Common in Bristol. Carlos, a salesman who works in Bristol, has purchased a home in The Lincoln, a block of one and two-bedroom apartments on the site.

“I’ve bought a ground floor, two-bedroom apartment and it’s very spacious,” Carlos said. “There’s a long hallway, an L-shaped living/dining room, a separate kitchen, bathroom and doors to a small patio area. I’ve also got allocated an parking space.

“The Meadows is a really nice development and it’s convenient for work and for my private life,” he continued. “I live with my girlfriend Tammy, but quite a few of my friends have moved here and some of them are even living in the same apartment block.”

Because the apartments in The Lincoln have proved to be so popular, only four are still for sale. These are two-bedroom homes with prices ranging from £166,995 to £173,500.

Barratt is currently offering a number of incentives for younger buyers like Carlos. These include a 5% deposit paid package or the ‘Dream Start’ scheme, which allows first-time buyers to own a brand new home for just 75 per cent of the asking price, with no deposit necessary.

When complete, The Meadows will offer 222 homes – a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses - with prices ranging from £143,000 to £287,000. Although the development nestles in a rural location close to Siston village the Avon Ring Road is close by, providing easy access to central Bristol with all its amenities.
