New buyer ‘sells’ Barratt development to friends House buyer Richard Stewart (29) has been recommending The Meadows to his friends after moving into a home on this stunning new Barratt development at Siston Common in Bristol.

Richard, an electrical contractor who works from home, has purchased a three-storey town house on the site and now three of his friends are also moving there.

“I’ve bought Barratt homes before and have always been pleased with them,” Richard said. “My new house is great, the first-floor lounge has a balcony with nice views over the development and I’m using my fourth bedroom as an office. The property benefits from a kitchen/diner, utility room and en-suite bedroom and I’ve also got a garage.

“In particular, I was really impressed with all the extras Barratt available – I had speakers put into the ceiling and there’s even a button by my bedside to turn the en-suite shower on, which is pretty cool,” he continued.

“There’s a nice mixture of homes here, from apartments to houses, and a lot of first-time buyers are moving in. I’ve recommended The Meadows to quite a few friends – they are all young professionals around the same age as me and I expect six or seven of them will end up living here.”

“It’s a nice location as we’re in the countryside and it’s only a few minutes’ walk to the pub, but there are lots of supermarkets close by and the ring road offers easy access to Bristol,” he concluded.

When complete, The Meadows will offer 222 homes – a selection of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses, with prices ranging from £143,000 to £287,000.

The development is close to Siston village and the 13-mile Bristol to Bath cycle route and the Avon Ring Road offers excellent road links to the local cities.
