Barratt helps residents keep fit at The Zone

The air-conditioned gym has been fitted with all the latest gym equipment including two exercise bikes, two treadmills, two cross trainers, two rowing machines and a range of bench presses.
Mats and a work out ball allow for warm ups and stretching while floor to ceiling mirrors offer a chance for serious reflection.
When the first residents take up occupation in June, the gym will be fully functional and ready for their use and for a small induction fee, residents can be put through their paces then have unlimited access to the equipment.
There will also be opportunities for members to have fitness programmes tailored to individual needs with access to personal trainers.
When all the apartments have been sold, the current gym will be moved to larger two storey premises, where the range of equipment will be increased and enhanced.
“It was always part of our plan to have a state of the art gym at The Zone and we are delighted to be underway with the first phase of that plan,” said Louise Ware, Barratt sales director.
“A gym was seen as vital to our target market and the fact that we had more than 1,500 people register their interest even before we launched, suggests that a gym, along with the Car Club, roof terraces and cycle paths that are part of life at The Zone are all essential to an appealing city centre package.”
Once complete, The Zone will have 407 units - a mix of citi-pads, apartments and townhouses and its location close to shopping, transport and leisure facilities is proving perfect for first time buyers, young professionals and investors. Prices range from £127,500 to £215,000.
The Zone is part of the massive brownfield redevelopment of Temple Quarter with Barratt setting new standards in terms of design, specification and modern living environments.
