Advanced view apartment opened at Nautica

Advanced view apartment opened at Nautica Persimmon Homes Severn Valley has opened a unique advanced view apartment due to high demand for properties at its Nautica development in Port Marine.

Faced with the challenge of opening a view apartment in a building which is still under construction, the company took an inventive approach to allow house hunters an extremely early look at life inside a dockside property.

Having selected a plot to become the view apartment, Persimmon completed and sealed off the property whilst allowing build works to continue around it. Ensuring visitors safety, the company then created an access tunnel through the building’s scaffolding, allowing visitors to emerge from site into a view apartment, complete with perspex printed views of the harbour in lieu of windows.

“Creating a view apartment at such an early stage of construction was a big challenge for us, but we felt it was necessary in order to allow house hunters to fully understand the unique proposition which our waterside homes at Nautica will offer,” commented David Wild, sales director for Persimmon Homes Severn Valley.

“Whilst many purchasers have secured a property off plan here, others find visualising a property on paper difficult and it is those purchasers who we wanted to assist by opening this advanced view home so they didn’t miss out on the opportunity. Responses to the property have been extremely positive with sales shooting up since it opened and we will certainly be looking at repeating the process on future developments.”

Sales at Nautica have continued apace since the opening of the advanced view home with 10 properties now sold in Malin House, following the sell out success of the first block Tyne House. Priced from £198,995, 14 two bedroom apartment and penthouse properties remain for sale in Malin House with final phase, Shannon House, expected to be released to the market shortly.

Internally, the apartments at Nautica enjoy an enhanced specification including chic accessories and down lighters. The kitchens come complete with stainless steel appliances and fridge/freezers alongside a choice of stylish cupboards and work surfaces, whilst the bathrooms offer crisp white sanitary ware and ceramic floor tiles. Many of the properties also benefit from terraces and balconies overlooking Port Marine’s stunning harbour.

Alongside apartments, Nautica also offers a range of townhouse properties with a three bedroom Fitzroy Special townhouse show home also open to view. Prices for Fitzroy properties currently start from £237,995, features of which include an open plan living and dining room and stylish fitted kitchen. The first floor offers bedrooms two and three with shared family bathroom while the luxury master suite is situated on the second floor including walk-in dressing room with ‘his and hers’ wardrobes, plus ensuite shower room.

Nautica forms part of the 200 acre regeneration of Port Marine which combines superior residential accommodation with commercial enterprise in a truly enviable waterside location. Persimmon’s homes at Port Marine are encompassed within one of the biggest eco-housing schemes in Europe offering families the unique combination of traditional village life with all the convenience of modern housing and design.

Port Marine boasts an excellent array of local amenities from a flagship Waitrose supermarket to a bustling high street and excellent sporting facilities. A popular location for commuters, the town is excellently placed for reaching nearby Bristol and the M5 (J19) just a couple of miles away.
