Three generations enjoy a hassle free move

Three generations enjoy a hassle free move When Lorraine Thompson was looking for a new home for her family she enlisted the help of her parents, Margaret and Howard. They soon spotted the perfect new home for their daughter at The Orchards in Portishead and were so impressed with the Linden Homes’ development and the Part Exchange* scheme that they also decided to move to the collection as well.

Lorraine had originally begun searching for a new family home with her husband Dylan, sadly he passed away, but rather than give up the house hunt she continued and found The Orchards. Once Lorraine saw the development she knew it was the perfect place for her and her two children Kate and Shea. The Sales Adviser recommended the Part Exchange* scheme, which enabled Lorraine to concentrate on creating a new home for her children whilst Linden took care of the rest.

Lorraine comments; “Dylan and I were keen to move to a nicer area and I decided to pursue that after he died. I didn’t want to go through the stress of having to put my house on the market and deal with agents, HIP’s and viewings, so Linden’s Part Exchange* scheme was the perfect option. Linden made the whole process easy for us and moving in was a happy experience!”

Of course, she hadn’t expected her parents to move in down the road, especially as they were planning to move to a quaint country cottage. However, both Margaret and Howard wanted to be closer to their daughter and after viewing the traditionally inspired homes at The Orchards they knew it was the perfect place for them as Margaret explains;

“After the family bereavement we wanted to be with Lorraine and having seen the development we knew it was where we should be and Linden’s Part Exchange* scheme made everything so simple. Our new home gives us the best of both worlds, as we have the period country exterior that we wanted and the low maintenance of a new build, which allows us to spend more time with the family. The Orchards is an ideal location for our grandchildren, daughter and us, it simply fulfills the needs of all three generations of the family.”

Alison Staddon, Sales and Marketing Director for Linden Homes Western comments; “I am so pleased that at such a difficult time for Lorraine’s family our team have made things easier. The Part Exchange* scheme has alIowed both Lorraine and her parents to have a quick and stress free move. Our Part Exchange* scheme is always very popular and I am sure that many more families will be eager to take advantage of the scheme in order to secure their new home at The Orchards.”

The Orchards is a beautiful collection of traditionally inspired two bedroom apartments and three/four and five bedroom homes. With just four homes remaining anyone who is interested in this fabulous development is urged to move quickly as the excellent location close to Portishead and just 15 miles from Bristol is an opportunity not to be missed.

Portishead has a host of amenities, including banks, supermarkets and a variety of restaurants, creating a convenient lifestyle for residents. Bristol City offers an endless array of cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants, as well as Cabot Circus.

For commuters, the M5 is easily accessible while less than 4 miles away is Avonmouth train station offering services to Bristol Temple Meads in approximately 27 minutes, while Bristol International Airport is located just over 10 miles away.
