Make a smooth switch to a stylish new home in Bristol

22nd July 2008 Print
Homebuyers looking to move to a contemporary new home near Bristol, but worried about selling their existing property, will find help on hand from Redrow.

The award-winning housebuilder is offering 100% part-exchange to buyers at The Lawns, a brand new development just four miles north of Bristol; helping those customers who need to sell up before moving in.

The part exchange incentive on selected plots means Redrow will buy a customer's existing property at full market value (subject to criteria) and effectively ‘swap' it for a new home, taking the problem of finding a buyer, or becoming part of a chain, out of their hands and paving the way towards that new home.

Denise Turner, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: "This is the ideal option for people who want to move right away, but haven't found a buyer for their current house. It also removes the threat of a chain collapsing or the increasing practice of ‘gazundering', where a buyer waits until the last minute of a sale before lowering the offer price.

"With part-exchange we take away the worry, look after all the red tape and leave them free to concentrate on enjoying the move to their brand new Redrow home."

Award-winning Redrow Homes recently launched ‘The Lawns', a stylish development of 72 two, three and four-bedroom homes on the site of the Old Colstonians Ground on New Road, Stoke Gifford.

The range of properties available includes apartments, traditional two-storey homes and three-storey townhouses.

Denise added: "The Lawns is sure to attract a mix of different homebuyers from young professionals, who will appreciate its close proximity to the city centre, as well as families who will fall in love with the spacious properties on offer and the good choice of primary and secondary schools available close by.

"Bristol has first-class shopping facilities, leisure facilities and nightlife. The development is also just a short walk to Bristol Parkway Station and has easy access to the M32, M4 and M5 motorways so it is perfect for commuters."

Nearby, Redrow is also building the brand new urban village of Cheswick, in Filton, where the ‘greener' new homes in the first phase, named Tallsticks, will reach level three of the new Code for Sustainable Homes two years ahead of targets set by the Government.

Homes available at The Lawns are priced from £182,000 for a two-bedroom apartment to £255,000 for a four-bedroom home.

Part-exchange is just one of the measures under the umbrella of ‘re:assure from Redrow', which are all designed to give home buyers confidence and to help get them moving in the current housing market. Other incentives include help with mortgage repayments for up to two years, or help with a deposit and other moving costs.
