Get in the zone with Barratt The Zone, Barratt's award-winning development in the Temple Quarter area of Bristol, offers the perfect home base for city dwellers wanting to live close to work and a wide range of leisure facilities.

"This development is proving to be highly popular, particularly with first-time buyers and young professionals, and it has won numerous awards," reports Andrea Pilgrim, Barratt sales director.

"Earlier this year the site's senior project manager, Bob Burgess, picked up a Quality Award in the NHBC's prestigious ‘Pride in the Job' competition.

"The award recognises high construction standards and excellent site management, and Bob received a letter of congratulations from Kerry McCarthy, Labour MP for Bristol East," Andrea continued.

"The Zone also scooped a Daily Telegraph ‘Your New Home' award for the country's best city centre development. It is the first apartment building in Bristol to boast an on-site, fully equipped gym for residents and, next spring, we will be unveiling a spectacular communal roof top garden," she added.

Current availability at The Zone includes a selection of Citipad studio apartments, priced from £89,995, and two-bedroom apartments with en-suites and balconies priced from £179,995.

"We are committed to providing affordable homes," Andrea continued. "First-time buyers can take advantage of our Head Start initiative, which enables them to secure a mortgage for 85 per cent of the total property price, with Barratt financing the remaining 15 per cent for up to 10 years.

"We can also offer a two-bedroom apartment under the First-Time Buyer Initiative Scheme, part of the government's low-cost home ownership initiative," she added.

"The scheme allows buyers who are unable to afford to buy alone, to secure a mortgage for up to 50 per cent of the full purchase price. In return, the government assists with the remaining per cent, which the buyer repays over time and when the property is sold."

The Zone enjoys a secluded setting in its own private grounds, yet it is only a five-minute walk from the refurbished Broadmead Shopping Centre and the city's train and bus services.

In addition to a wealth of amenities, the city of Bristol enjoys excellent motorway links to Weston-super-Mare and Cardiff to the west, Gloucester and Cheltenham to the north and London to the east.
