Treat yourself to a new home this Valentine’s

9th February 2009 Print
Treat yourself to a new home this Valentine’s House hunters can treat themselves to the ultimate Valentine’s Day present this weekend, a new David Wilson home. The housebuilder has a number of tempting offers currently available at developments throughout the Bristol area including dedicated offers for first time buyers and for those moving up the housing ladder.

“What better way to signify a commitment to one another than with a brand new home? We have some excellent deals, so come along at the weekend and speak to one of our sales negotiators to see what we can do for you,” said sales director Bernice McKenna.

For first time buyers Bernice said that David Wilson Homes can ensure a perfect match this Valentine’s weekend.

Proving particularly popular at the moment is HomeBuy Direct, a government scheme backed by David Wilson Homes which gives homebuyers the chance to move in for only 70 per cent of the purchase price.

David Wilson South West will match the Government’s funding pound for pound in the new venture to provide the 30 per cent equity loan to the homebuyer. The buyer finances the remaining 70 per cent either through a mortgage, a deposit or a combination of the two.

Under the scheme, which is available at selected developments, buyers will be protected against possible falls in property values up to 30 per cent as the David Wilson/government equity share will absorb price risk. In addition, there is no interest to pay on the joint David Wilson/government equity stake for the first five years, although a fee will be charged from year six onwards.

The homes being allocated to the scheme in Bristol include Strawberry Fields at Downend, The Brambles and Jubilee Mews in Kingswood and The Courtyard at Beaufort Vale, Siston.

Househunters moving up the property ladder can take advantage of the David Wilson part exchange scheme. This covers the cost of HIPs, removes the need for any estate agent fees, and eliminates the stress of a chain by becoming a guaranteed buyer for your existing home.

“We know that people who want to move to a larger house may be put off by what they hear about the credit crunch and difficulties in finding a buyer, but we want everyone to have the best start to 2009, a dream home,” said Bernice.

“David Wilson Homes will buy your current home at full market value so that you are free to buy one of our brand new houses. This means that you will be able to move without the hassle of a chain and you can stay in your old property right up until your new one is ready.”
