David Wilson Homes boss goes back to the floor

Kelvin went ‘Back to the floor’ at Beaufort Vale in Bristol and said the chance to meet prospective buyers had been a great opportunity to ensure the company was meeting buyers’ demands.
“We have a number of initiatives for buyers and I had the chance to talk to a range of house hunters from those looking for their first home through to others looking to move up the housing ladder and investors,” he said.
“There is a tremendous level of demand for new homes and the market has really picked up,’’ he said. “I was impressed by the number of visitors we had through the door each day and barely had time to make a cup of tea.”
Kelvin said that despite being a regular visitor to David Wilson Homes developments throughout the region the chance of spending more time in one place had provided a great insight into the detail of being a sales negotiator.
“Things are constantly changing in the housebuilding industry from the level of enquiries we now receive from the internet through to the range of initiatives we have for buyers and being a negotiator reminded me of how versatile you have to be,” he said.
In addition to meeting prospective buyers and guiding them through the buying process Kelvin finalised details for the Valentines weekend promotion and ensured the new Monet show home was ready to be photographed. A successful week resulted in three sales on the site.
