Downend primary kids take tour of Page Court

Young children from Staple Hill Primary School in Downend enjoyed a real treat recently, when they were given a tour of Barratt’s nearby Page Court development. The two reception classes of children aged four and five, visited the development as part of learning about building.

Julie Dodge, reception class teacher at the school said: “The Rose and Lily reception classes have been learning about the building industry and having looked from a distance at the Page Court site, Barratt kindly offered to have us there for a proper look.”

Barratt sales director Louise Ware said the site manager and sales negotiator had been delighted to play host to the little visitors.

“The children donned construction hats and high visibility vests whilst seeing foundations being dug and then went on to view a house under construction,” she said. “We play an integral role in the communities in which we build and it’s great to see young children learning more about house building close to home.”
