Brisk sales for Barratt in Bristol

12th March 2009 Print
Brisk sales for Barratt in Bristol Apartments are selling fast at The Meadows, Barratt’s popular development at Mangotsfield in Bristol, where investors as well as first-time buyers have been snapping up the latest new homes.

“One investor bought four apartments at this site, and she had no problem in finding tenants and we have tremendous demand from first time buyers,” reports Louise Ware, Barratt sales director.

“She said that first-time buyers and key workers can take advantage of our new HomeBuy Direct scheme, which allows them to move into a new home for just 70 per cent of the asking price,” she continued.

“People accepted for the scheme receive a 30 per cent equity loan funded jointly by Barratt and the government. The buyer finances the remaining 70 per cent either through a mortgage, a deposit or a combination of the two.

“This is an outstanding opportunity for people who have been priced out of the housing market for years to buy at today’s lower prices,” Louise added.

Current availability at The Meadows includes a small selection of Warwick apartments. Priced from £133,995, they offer a spacious, open-plan living area, two bedrooms and a parking space.

“We have just three Warwick homes for sale, so I would urge buyers to register their interest as soon as possible,” Louise added. “Additional apartments will be released later in the year.”

The Meadows lies close to the Bristol and Bath cycle path but, although it nestles in a rural location near Siston Village, the Avon Ring Road is close by, providing easy access to central Bristol with all its amenities.
