New manager boosts Redrow sales team

Philippa Groves, 36, from Bridgwater, joined Redrow’s Bristol-based subsidiary from another major housebuilder, where she had been employed in the role of area sales manager for five years and sales negotiator for two years.
She said: “My experience is in sales and marketing and I see that as a huge plus for my role within Redrow. Before moving into the housing sector, I previously worked in retail and gained qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. The housing industry differs vastly from retail, but the skills for both jobs are very transferable.
“I always wanted to make the move into the property industry, particularly new build homes, as they are always what have attracted me as a homebuyer when looking for properties for myself.
“Redrow itself is a great company to work for with an ethos of treating customers as individuals with their own personal needs, wants and aspirations for their new home. I think that’s reflected in the fact we have just upgraded our interior specification, with new layouts and contemporary kitchens and bathrooms, adding real value to our homes at a time when other housebuilders may have been tempted to strip back costs. Redrow has listened to what customers want and built that into the new designs.”
Despite a challenging residential property market, Philippa is encouraged by recent sales figures and believes Redrow is well placed to emerge from the economic downturn in a strong position relative to its competitors.
She said: “Our sales in the South West have remained steady as our developments have the best of both worlds; superb locations and a wide-range of high quality yet affordable homes. One of my favourite developments is Centuria in Cirencester. Not only are the homes traditional stone-built properties, they are also in a top-class setting on the edge of a quintessentially English town.”
Redrow Homes (South West) has developments in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. They include regeneration of the former MoD South Yard enclave in Devonport, near Plymouth, and the urban village of Cheswick, in Filton, near Bristol.
