A waterside retreat in Bristol

Keen to be closer to family and friends following his retirement, Steve Pearson decided it was time to swap the leafy appeal of Hampshire’s New Forest for his hometown of Bristol.

Steve says: “Annie and I had lived in Southampton for years. The showhome’s finishing touches included an island fitting with bar stools in the kitchen plus a two-seater sofa which makes this space the centre of our house. I was also taken with the size of the bedrooms as they were so large. I even converted one into a study which Annie and I use to run a small, part time business from home.”
