United effort for David Wilson Homes

While female members of the David Wilson Homes team in Bristol took part in the city’s recent Race for Life the men were certainly not left on the sidelines.

Male colleagues from the technical and finance departments volunteered to work in the sales offices at developments in the region allowing the female negotiators to join the head office team and raise more than £1,500 for Cancer Research UK.

“It was a tremendous effort by the whole company,’’ said sales director Bernice McKenna. “Weekends are a busy time for us so a big thanks to the guys at head office for a great job while the women donned pink outfits and completed the Race for Life.’’

The David Wilson Homes team walked, jogged and ran the 5km and Bernice said the sense of achievement was brilliant. “This is such a worthwhile cause and we are delighted that the team effort raised so much money while our developments were in the capable hands of some of our male colleagues.’’
