Barratt Bristol hits 12 month sales target

10th July 2009 Print
Management at Barratt are celebrating after enjoying remarkable sales success in the last year, showing that demand for new homes in the Bristol area remains strong despite the mixed national picture.

The Bristol-based housebuilder, which is currently building throughout the region sold 436 homes worth £58.6 million in the financial year ending on 30th June – exceeding its own internal targets. The outcome provides good evidence that there are signs of life in the local housing market.

“We have a strong reputation for building high quality homes in great locations throughout the region which has enabled us to perform very well despite the tough economic backdrop,” said Louise Ware, sales director at Barratt Bristol.

“Now is a good time to buy because prices and mortgage rates are significantly lower than they were two years ago. We are offering some superb deals which won’t be on the table much longer as our stock levels have reduced significantly.”

“What gives us the edge over other people selling homes is that we can provide customers with innovative financial incentives which enable them to get a mortgage – the key issue for anyone buying today.”

“It’s a great result for the financial year and speaks volumes about the talent and commitment of our team here. We’re hoping for continued success and many more satisfied customers into 2010 and beyond.”

Barratt developments in Bristol include the award winning Zone in the city centre, The Meadows at Siston Common and Page Court in Downend.
