Manheim becomes sole owner of its Glasgow Auction Centre

17th October 2008 Print
Manheim has taken sole control of its Glasgow Auction Centre following a period of joint venture ownership with the Scottish Motor Auctions Group which began in August 2000. The 10 acre site located at Siemens Street, Blochairn sells approximately 20,000 vehicles each year and will continue to operate auctions on Tuesday (cars), Wednesday (commercial vehicles) and Friday evening (cars).

Paul Hill, Operations Director, Manheim Auctions said: “The Glasgow Auction Centre has been an integral part of Manheim’s growing presence in the UK and has become well established in the city and surrounding areas. The transition to sole ownership will help Manheim to grow the auction business and extend its customer base of both vendors and buyers in the months to come.”
