Brits put the den in garden

Forget the potting shed, the latest must-have garden accessory is the plotting shed.
Turning their outhouses into offices, Brits are writing novels, starting businesses and making their dreams come true all from the comfort of their gardens.
That’s according to ejobdone.co.uk, the latest online job matching system where no job is too big or too small.
“Since we set up ejobdone we’ve noticed a rise in requests for garden sheds to be built, insulated, fitted with toilets and really made into little homes,” says Kelly Sallows, founder of ejobdone.co.uk.
Since the recession, more people have taken to working from home or taking on second jobs and many don’t have the office space to do so.
“A garden office is the perfect solution,” says Sallows. “People can work from home, still be near the family but without the distractions of the kids.
“There are also requests for compost toilets to be fitted in back gardens, wigwams to be constructed - it seems the whole of Britain is getting outdoors.”
Consumers simply post the job they need doing for free on ejobdone.co.uk and wait for service providers to bid for the work.
