Easy moves for Mark and Nigel at Blunsdon Park

The couple, both aged 41, were working in Reading, but when it was announced their offices would be closing, they turned their attention to Swindon, both for a job transfer and a new house.
They first saw the Tirley house style at another David Wilson Homes development in Swindon last year, but the timing wasn't quite right for their relocation. David Wilson Homes kept in touch and earlier this year offered Mark and Nigel the same house at Blunsdon Park, just half a mile from the first development they'd seen.
Mark says: "We were delighted. Blunsdon Park is a great development and we already knew we loved the Tirley house; we also liked the fact the driveway and garage are at the front, rather than at the back of the house as is the case in many properties in Swindon. We decided to go for it but needed to sell our three-bedroom house in Reading first. David Wilson Homes' Movemaker provided the perfect solution."
Under the ‘Movemaker' scheme, David Wilson Homes will hold your chosen new home for you for up to eight weeks. The housebuilder will arrange for two independent estate agents to value your existing property, an asking price is agreed with you and David Wilson Homes will then market the property on your behalf through the estate agents. Once you have received an acceptable offer on your existing property, the new home will be officially reserved for you until your move. David Wilson Homes will pay your estate agent fees and could also pay your legal fees.
Nigel adds: "Movemaker took away all the stress of selling and buying a house. We just sat and waited and when a prospective purchaser wanted to view our house, the estate agent called us. David Wilson Homes and the estate agents managed the whole process for us and we moved into our brand new home in September; we were in fact the first to move in at the development."
This is Nigel and Mark's third newly-built property; the previous two were built by different housebuilders. Nigel says: "Our David Wilson Homes property is the best we've ever owned and the customer care was superb; the sales negotiator Kat Janes was amazing."
Blunsdon Park offers an impressive collection of two, three and four bedroom homes conveniently located on the northern side of Swindon. The scheme is ideally placed for the shops, with the nearby Orbital Centre providing many High Street names such as Asda, Boots, Next and Homebase. Swindon town centre, around three miles from the development, has an extensive range of shops and for those who love Farmers' Markets, these can be found at Blunsdon, Swindon town centre, Marlborough and Wootton Bassett.
Nigel and Mark love living in Swindon, finding it much quieter and friendlier than Reading. Nigel adds: "We appreciate having more amenities on the doorstep and getting around town is no problem thanks to the excellent road network. Although it's seven miles to work each day - around twice the distance than when we were in Reading - the journey is so much easier and can actually take less time."
Blunsdon Park couldn't be more convenient for commuters. Swindon is situated just off the M4 which provides links westbound to Bristol and eastbound to London. The town's mainline railway station offers services to London Paddington, with the journey taking around an hour.
A striking selection of traditional four-bedroom detached and semi-detached family houses is currently available at David Wilson's Blunsdon Park development with prices starting from just £265,000.
