Groundbreaking news from Kersal Heights

The Kersal High School development, with stunning views over Salford and Manchester, marks the start of multi-million pound investment in the local area. After years of planning this flagship development in partnership with the local community, NDC and Salford City Council, Miller has now started work on the 230 new homes.
Celebrating the collaboration that has allowed this innovative and imaginative scheme to become reality, Anne-Marie turned the first spade of earth.
She said: “The new road into the building site is also a new road in to the future of Kersal and Charlestown. I am delighted to be involved in delivering these new homes. They are absolutely excellent and I want to thank everybody involved in getting to this stage.”
Mike Lewis, Managing Director of Miller Regeneration, responded: “We are very pleased to have reached this significant stage in the regeneration and look forward to continuing to build our future with Salford.”
The leader of Salford City Council, Cllr Merry, added: "This is an important milestone in this exciting development, which represents a huge investment into the area and the creation of 230 new homes. Part of a series of high profile regeneration initiatives across the city, this project confirms the fact that Salford is a great place to live, visit, work and invest."
This innovative and exciting project, incorporating the best in modern architecture, looks set to become a highly desirable address in the near future. A number of residents currently living in the Charlestown clearance areas will be moving into their new homes on the development in spring 2008. Many have been assisted in their move by the Relocation Equity Loan package from NDC and Salford City Council.
