Dive in at Halton Mills

14th April 2008 Print
Dive in at Halton Mills With a stunning riverside location at the heart of a village, yet with the vibrant city of Lancaster just a few miles away, Barratt Manchester's newest development, Halton Mills, ticks a lot of boxes.

The Mill Lane development is situated above the banks of the stunning River Lune, a picture perfect setting ideal for the budding naturalist keen to escape to a rural retreat.

The development will have just 33 two-bedroom apartments available in Phase I with a handful now on release. All have a loft-style open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area, with two double bedrooms, en suite shower to the master bedroom and separate bathroom.

The apartments have high specification interiors with a fully-fitted kitchen with integrated fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and dishwasher, chrome heated towel rails in the bathrooms, chrome light switches and plug sockets throughout. All apartments face south, over the Lune, and two of the designs also offer a balcony off the lounge.

"I live locally and this is a superb location," says sales negotiator Pauline Gerrard. "I love Lancaster because of its theatres, art galleries, coffee shops, shopping - it's a fantastic city to live in.

"And here at Halton Mills there is the village setting, country walks, with the Lake District close by - it's just wonderful."

The development is within an easy commute of the University of Lancaster, the Hospital and the cities of Manchester and Chester. The development has also been attracting those people looking for a holiday home or a home in this country that offers security when they are away.

Currently Barratt will pay the five per cent deposit and there may be other incentives available.

The apartments start at £181,750.

The sales office at the development off Mill Lane, Halton is usually open seven days a week, 11am-6pm or visit Barratthomes.co.uk.
