New home in Oldham gives first time buyers a different view Chadderton couple Carly Cockcroft and Christopher Lynch were on top of the world when they moved into their new top floor apartment at Redrow's popular Spinners Mews development. Set off Fields New Road in Chadderton, near Oldham, the development offers a range of 120 new homes, with a contemporary twist. Timber boarding, render and grey window details have been used in exterior elevations to create a fresh look.

Carly, 21, a customer care manager at Mono Services in Chadderton, and Christopher, 25, a self-employed joiner, are the first residents to move into a one-bedroom property in the striking apartment building.

Carly said: "We were renting in Chadderton but we wanted to buy as paying rent out every month with nothing to show for it is just dead money.

"We had driven past the development before and thought it looked nice, so we came for a viewing but this top floor apartment wasn't available to view. We were so impressed with the development and the apartment we were able to see that we applied for a mortgage and bought our actual apartment ‘unseen' and we absolutely love it.

"It is so light and airy because it has got so many windows and it is great being able to look out and see for miles around. Everyone who comes to visit us says how nice it is."

Redrow's experienced sales team were on hand throughout the process to help make the couple's move as smooth as possible.

"We haven't done this before so it was all new to us and the staff were brilliant and really helped us," Carly added:

Spinners Mews is set in the perfect location, just two miles from Oldham and six miles from cosmopolitan Manchester - both offering a wealth of amenities, shopping and nightlife., yet close to open countryside and convenient for several parks. And Chadderton itself offers everything you need for every day living.

Residents can take advantage of the motorway network, with both the M62 and M60 nearby, giving easy access to Manchester, as well as Leeds, Liverpool and beyond - ideal for commuters and city hoppers alike.

Frequent rail services from Oldham run into Manchester Victoria station in around 20 minutes, and Manchester Airport is just under 20 miles away.

"It is a great location", says Carly, "it is really handy for the motorway and it makes travelling to jobs so much easier for Christopher."

A wide choice of one and two-bedroom apartments is currently available at Spinners Mews priced from £85,000 to £148,000, while house prices range from £137,000 for a two-bedroom and from £174,000 for a three-bedroom home.
